Server down.

Before I bother everyone about the "LJ not displaying text" thing again, I would like to know why it is that every time I tell my hosting company to add PerlSetEnv LJHOME /home/virtual/site392/fst/var/www/html & PerlRequire /home/virtual/site392/fst/var/www/html/cgi-bin/modperl.pl, they report back a correct httpd.conf file. Which is below:

[Error: Irreparable invalid markup ('<virtualhost 66.98.218.32:80>') in entry. Owner must fix manually. Raw contents below.]

After the setup of the httpd.conf file, my site works for approx. 5 minutes and boom! A 404-Error page appears and Apache won't start up correctly. Please note that I didn't even edit my modperl.pl! Is there anything wrong with it or is there a revised version or a OPTIONAL module my server needs? We do have the required modules already installed.

Anyone, please help! My socialised life depends on it! [heh...]
