PerlSetEnv LJHOME /home/lj
PerlRequire /home/lj/cgi-bin/modperl.pl
So far, so good.
Configure everything just like in the documents.. done.
apachectl stop, and then start.
BLAM! Pelted with errors. No big deal, just a few missing packages.. Mime-Lite, Unicode, etc. No biggie. Make short work of those with apt.. perfect.
Restart apache again... this time it works. Copy the contents of the htdocs dir to /var/www (my doc-root.)
Visit http://lie.ath.cx
WOOT! IT WORKS! create user "bob". excellent. change from default style and check out my journal:
"The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
Bogus. As if I didn't dislike M$ enough, seeing one of those M$ error pages while using firefox on debian tweaked my nipples the wrong way.
Anyone have any idea what would cause journals to go tits-up right after changing the styles?
[EDIT]
Nevermind. Figured out the problem. Somewhere along the way I missed a "ljsite.com" url replacement. dooooh.
