Is there any documentation on using blobserver for userpics? I have two web servers and userpics only show up half of the time. Obviously the nonworking pics are on the blob server that isn't being hit. (There is one blob server per web server.) Is there a way to fix this aside from having the directory shared over the network?

    %LJ::BLOBINFO = (
        'clusters' => {
            "1" => "/home/lj/sites/blobsvr/",
        'blob_clusterid' => 1,

I just noticed that on my site when I or another user uses [lj user=blahblah] or [lj comm=blahblah] It will use the userinfo.gif regardless of whether if it's a user or a community. I looked in my global.look and it hasn't changed...

If you peak here, it does use the community.gif at the top saying so and so has posted in sj_help.

But lower down on my comment it uses the userinfo.gif for those communities...any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated :)

Ok, im defeated.

I finally got SSL working on my dev box.

I have edited the _config to go to a special deadjournal_ssl.look just for ssl. In it, I have all of the images referenced by full SSL URL (https://trinary.deadjournal.org/img/xxx.jpg).

Only problem is that the images are not being loaded. The HTML source of the page shows the full path. But the apache access logs show: - - [03/Feb/2004:20:24:33 -0800] "GET /img/mback.jpg HTTP/1.1" 404 585 "https://trinary.deadjournal.org/" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031107 Galeon/1.3.11a (Debian package 1.3.11a-1)"

Error log:

[Tue Feb 3 20:24:33 2004] [error] [client] File does not exist: /img/mback.jpg

The images are there, ive tried everything.

Are the image url's being rewritten somewhere? I see some rewriting in LiveJournal.pm, but tweaking that doesnt really produce any other effects... Do i need those ljcom ssl hooks?

Bah! head, meet table.
