Error in ljlib.pl

Ok, I've got it installed, followed step-by-step instructions. (Latest cvs that is). When I go to the webpage for I set up for it I get:

[Tue Aug 5 22:43:40 2003] [error] Can't call method "selectrow_array" on an undefined value at /home/lj/cgi-bin/ljlib.pl line 5681.

in my apache error log. Does anyone have any idea what I'm missing? checkconfig.pl shows everything is fine. I've never been able to get past this part, and I've actually added this as a bug (1223), but on the chance that I've simply missed something I thought I'd post it here.
